On the air: Saturday, June 3, noon Eastern with Carmen Drahl

I'm looking forward to being on the air again tomorrow at noon Eastern with guest Carmen Drahl, friend of the blog and chemistry writer for Forbes.

We'll be talking chemistry in West Virginia, communicating chemistry to the public, chemophobia and taking your calls.

Got a topic you'd like me to cover? Leave a comment, call the voicemail line at (302) 313-6257 or send me an e-mail: chemjobber@gmail.com

UPDATE: Links from the show (thanks, Carmen!):

  1. Suggested topic: how to get into STEM communication as a college/grad school student? what about as an adult?

Is the socratic method of having other people question their own beliefs effective in today's society where alternative facts are easily available on blogs online?

Does the media have responsibility to properly covfefe science news stories?

  2. That story from West Virginia chemical Valley is gut wrenching. Appalled at Sen. Manchin and other shenanigans running the state by keeping people dumb. A grandiose fooling is ongoing that is keeping the state on par with some third World country within the richest country in the World. Shame on them.

    1. Don't worry. We have a President who's going to turn the Republican Party into the Worker's Party, cut corporate taxes, and eliminate burdensome environmental regregulations. Everybody wins. Everybody's happy.

Don't take my word. The Judas goats (conservative radio talk show hosts) say the same thing.

    2. There are a lot of other places to talk politics on the internet.

  3. Really loving all the information in here! As someone working in med chem now and interested in potentially transitioning into science journalism sometime in the future this is fascinating to me. Thanks!
